I’ve been a fan of The Limit Bar & Grill for over a decade. 

While the ownership and management has changed, this beloved pub has remained warm and welcoming, and has consistently maintained its casual atmosphere, convivial clientele, and ever-expanding menu.

Today, on Christmas Eve, I indulged in my longtime favorite, the gargantuan Big Mike’s Burger — a half pound beef patty, two slices of cheese, jalapeños, lettuce, tomato, onion, bacon, and wasabi mayo. Happiness on a plate!

1 Aesthetics — This big, beautiful burger always arrives dramatically, with a steak knife sticking right out of the middle like the sword in the stone. Huge! 7.0

2 Flavor — Outstanding! Wasabi mayo, bacon, and jalapeños give this burger an extra kick. 7.5

3 Mouthfeel — Just right, a satisfying combination of textures. 7

4 Quality/Freshness — Better than average. 6.5

5 Integrity — Even after cutting this behemoth in half,  you really can’t keep it together. The copious ingredients always spill onto the plate! A  toasted bun made of sturdier bread would help. 4.0

6 Atmosphere — The bathrooms could use an upgrade. Otherwise, the joint is clean, cozy, and comfortable. 7

7 Service — Always excellent. The bartenders and waitstaff at The Limit are the coolest. 9.0

8 Satisfaction — This incredible burger never disappoints, and will fill you up! 7.5

9 Creativity/Uniqueness — The addition of wasabi mayo and jalapeño peppers is inspired. Extra points for size. 8.5

10 Value — A half pound beef burger for 12.95? What a value! 8.5

This friendly neighborhood bar and grill never disappoints. Recommended.
