Mrs. Beesley’s Burgers (Toledo WA)

Date: February 9, 2025

Location: 393 Cowlitz Ridge Road, Toledo WA

Mrs. Beesley’s Burgers is a quaint, old-fashioned burger bar that does a thriving business for hungry travelers along the busy Interstate 5 corridor.

I stopped in for their basic Cheeseburger topped with onions, tomato, lettuce, pickles, and mayo-relish.

1 Aesthetics — A simple, straightforward, handsome burger. 6.5

2 Flavor — Perhaps a tad bland, but good. 5.5

3 Mouthfeel — Beef patty was a little dry, and other elements were not entirely in balance, but not bad overall. 6.5

4 Quality/Freshness — Above average. 6

5 Integrity — Thank goodness for the paper wrapper! Without it, this slippery little sandwich would’ve definitely fallen apart in my hands. 5

6 Atmosphere — I dig the vibe of this place, from its bright neon EAT sign visible from the freeway, to its funky thrift store dining room decor, to the Beesley’s branded swag therein. Bonus points for clean restrooms! 8

7 Service — A little slow, but friendly. 6

8 Satisfaction — No longer hangry; still a little hungry. 6.5

9 Creativity/Uniqueness — The mayo-relish condiment was an interesting flourish; otherwise, just your basic burger. 6

10 Value — $9 and worth it. 8

For peckish pilgrims who aren’t too picky, Mrs. Beesley’s is the bee’s knees. Recommended.
