Location: 111 Tower Avenue, Centralia WA

A popular weekend breakfast destination nestled among the antique shops of downtown Centralia, Centerville Cafe epitomizes the classic old school diner. The joint is so old school, in fact, that it bears the town’s original name of “Centerville!”

While locals love their huge and hearty breakfasts, SqueetSquatch hit the lunch counter for one of the best burgers around: their Deluxe Cheeseburger, a 100% ground chuck patty with American cheese, lettuce, tomato, pickles, grilled onions, and burger sauce, artfully assembled on a sturdy grilled bun.

1 Aesthetics — A work of art. 9

2 Flavor — So tasty! 8

3 Mouthfeel — Excellent; the meat was grilled just right, and I experienced all the ingredients in every bite. 8

4 Quality/Freshness — Very fresh, with crispy lettuce and ripe tomato. 7.5

5 Integrity — Now this is how you build a burger: big and strong on a sturdy bun, cheese melted onto the patty, full leaf lettuce (not shredded! not wilted!), and all the components balanced in proper order and perfect proportion. 9

6 Atmosphere — A true diner experience. Simple and clean, sepia toned antique photographs, friendly people. 8

7 Service — Wonderful! Watched the short order cooks efficiently prepare my meal. Served quickly and with a smile by a lovely waitress who called me “honey.” 9

8 Satisfaction — Very filling and satisfying indeed. 7.5

9 Creativity/Uniqueness — Nothing particularly unique about this one, other than the welcome addition of grilled onions. 6

10 Value — Priced at just over $10 including fries, an excellent value. 8

Great food, friendly service, affordably priced. The real deal! Highly recommended.
