A hidden gem in the village of Snohomish, Angus Burger has specialized in high quality hamburgers, cheesesteaks, and fish-n-chips since 2017.

I dove headfirst into their California Burger, a 1/3 LB 100% Angus chuck ground beef patty with provolone cheese, avocado, bacon, green leaf lettuce, sliced tomatoes, pickles, red onion, and special sauce on a toasted bun.

1 Aesthetics — I took one look at this glorious masterpiece and couldn’t wait to devour it. 9

2 Flavor — Hands down, the most delicious burger I’ve experienced in a very long time. 9

3 Mouthfeel — Careful attention was paid to the assembly of this sandwich. The condiments coated both sides of the bun, and all the ingredients were arranged so that they reached the very edge. Excellent texture and flavor balance! 9

4 Quality/Freshness — Loved the fresh vegetables, especially that green leaf lettuce. And the high quality Angus beef definitely benefitted from the Maillard Reaction, charred and crispy on the outside, bursting with flavor inside. Wow! 9

5 Integrity — Firm and flavorful. 9

6 Atmosphere — Not much in the way of design and decor, just a simple, small cafe in a strip mall next to a grocery store. Didn’t much care for the piped-in pop music, either. 6 

7 Service — Spectacular service, faster than fast food, and much higher quality. 9

8 Satisfaction — They definitely did not skimp on ingredients! A very satisfying meal. 8

9 Creativity/Uniqueness — A creative combo of flavors and textures. 8

10 Value — At 14.95 without sides or drink, this burger is a bit expensive, but the high quality ingredients and careful preparation make it well worth the price. 7

One of the best burgers I’ve ever had! Highly recommended.
